A leading Austrian banking group adopts SmartStream's state-of-the-art technology for enhanced data processing efficiency.
SmartStream Technologies, the world leader in Transaction Lifecycle Management solutions, has strengthened its existing customer relationship with SPARDAT Sparkassen-Datendienst GmbH of Vienna. “We are proud to announce that SPARDAT have purchased our fully integrated modules for processing treasury confirmations and securities messages,” explains Roman Harbich, General Manager of SmartStream Technologies. With this decision to make further investments in Corona, the innovative total solution from SmartStream Technologies, the institutions of the SPARDAT savings bank group can anticipate targeted efficiency improvements. The value of these improvements is significant, particularly prior to the introduction of Basel II, and when the potential to deliver long term sustainable reduction in operational risk is taken into consideration.
“We are very pleased that SPARDAT has decided to purchase additional modules from our Corona product line. We believe this is a vote of overwhelming confidence in our long-standing and successful partnership with one of Austria's leading banking groups. It also clearly demonstrates that SmartStream have continued to develop the latest generation of Corona applications to deliver real value to our customers,” said Roman Harbich, discussing the successful business deal.
By using Corona, an innovative total solution, the institutions of the savings bank group can expect potential efficiency gains, as well as a reduction in operational risk. In addition to Corona Cash and Corona Investigations modules, both of which have long been used by SPARDAT, Erste Bank and its affiliated institutions have opted to provide their users with access to the recently implemented Corona Securities and Corona Confirmations modules. These state-of-the-art technologies are combined with tried-and-tested mainframe data processing systems.
“We guarantee to meet the demanding requirements of our customers and we take responsibility for fault-free, stable and high-performance operation. To achieve this, it’s essential that we continuously look for ways to improve our service.” explained Susanna Schöndorfer, head of Application Centre Core Systems at SPARDAT. “That is why we choose to partner with industry leading technology solution providers. Corona Client/Mainframe from SmartStream Technologies fits perfectly into our overall strategy,” continued Schöndorfer, explaining the reasons for the collaboration with SmartStream Technologies.
