SmartStream Technologies, the Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM®) specialist, today announced that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has awarded a contract to SmartStream to furnish its TLM Reconciliations Premium solution to the SEC’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE).
The SEC anticipates using TLM Reconciliations Premium to support OCIE’s nationwide examination and inspection program for registered self-regulatory organizations, broker-dealers, transfer agents, clearing agencies, investment companies, and investment advisers. The solution purchased by the SEC includes TLM Reconciliations Premium and TLM SmartRecs, and will utilize data delivered by ByAllAccounts.
SEC examiners in Washington, D.C. as well as 11 regional offices will be able to use the TLM Reconciliations solutions across the country.
“We are very excited to have the primary U.S. regulatory agency using our solutions to support the work of its office of compliance inspections and examinations,” said Philippe Chambadal, CEO for SmartStream.
“Using ByAllAccounts data, SmartStream has created an innovative approach that the SEC intends to utilize in facilitating its examination and inspection program,” said James Carney, president of ByAllAccounts, a Morningstar company.
