Chief Executive Officer
Haytham Kaddoura, CEO of SmartStream and serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors. He joined in 2007 bringing over 20 years of experience in investment advisory, asset management, corporate restructuring, strategy formulation and execution for boards in prominent corporations across the GCC and the greater MENA region.
He started his career working with leading management consulting firms including; Accenture, Booz Allen and Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers and BearingPoint. More recently, Haytham worked as an adviser for Abu Dhabi Offsets Group, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, DUBAL, American Express, Doha Securities Market, Qatar Foundation, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), as well as recognised private and public sector entities across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Morocco.
Mr. Kaddoura holds a Masters Degree in Finance and International Business from McGill University in Canada.
Chief Executive Officer – The SmartStream Reference Data Utility
Peter Moss, CEO of The SmartStream Reference Data Utility (RDU); in partnership with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley.
Peter joined the company in August 2016 following 25 years at Thomson Reuters. During his time at Thomson Reuters he established the Thomson Reuters Enterprise business, lead the integration of the Thomson Financial and Reuters businesses, ran data and technology operations as CTO and most recently lead the Financial Division, a global $6bn revenue business.
Peter graduated from Bristol University with honours in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Chief Financial Officer
Richard joined SmartStream in January 2017 as Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all aspects of finance, treasury, administration and financial strategy.
Richard brings over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He previously worked as the CFO of Asset Control and prior to that he worked for the New York Stock Exchange as CFO for Europe and Asia in the NYSE Technologies division. Earlier in his career Richard had senior finance roles at BT Global Services, BT Radianz, and Reuters.
Richard holds a first class honours degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University and is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Mark brings a wealth of experience to SmartStream having held senior marketing roles for over 20 years. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of marketing and communications activities across the company.
Prior to joining the company Mark was with Vitria Technology heading up the corporate marketing function, where he leveraged the existing brand awareness and history of success to build a new and deeper understanding of the Company and its marquee solutions. Previously Mark was responsible for marketing at MetaMatrix, the leading SOA company, overseeing all aspects of their marketing efforts. Earlier, Mark oversaw the marketing at DataSynapse, RareMedium Inc, McGraw-Hill’s Standard & Poor’s Financial Services Consumer Division and at New York State’s ‘I Love New York’ campaign.
Chief Technology Officer
Rocky Martinez assumed the CTO role after spending seven years at SmartStream in Solution Architect and Delivery Manager roles. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in financial technology and is currently responsible for all product technology, innovation and product delivery.
Prior to joining SmartStream, Rocky was the lead enterprise architect at MFX Holdings, where he was responsible for new technology and delivery. He has held senior leadership positions at various software companies which have serviced fortune 500 companies such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Allstate, Motorola, as well as consulting companies such as Accenture and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In addition, Rocky has been instrumental in the growth and development of a number of startup firms into their acquisitions’. He started his career as a graduate of the Merrill Lynch corporate training program.
Claudia has extensive experience practising law in the financial data management software industry. Prior to joining SmartStream Claudia was Vice President and General Counsel at Asset Control. Before that, she worked as Counsel with the International Monetary Fund.
Claudia has a law degree from the University of Catania in Italy and Master’s degrees in law from the University of Georgia and the University of Pennsylvania.
David is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources worldwide. He joined SmartStream in December of 2008. Prior to this he gained extensive international HR experience with Shell, Thomson Financial and International SOS.
David graduated from the University of Glasgow with honours in Political Economy and Economic History and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Executive Vice President
Christian Schiebl, Executive Vice President, manages SmartStream’s business in the EMEA and JPAC regions. Joining SmartStream following the acquisition of Management Data, Christian brings with him more than 23 year’s experience in the financial information and technology sector.
Prior to joining SmartStream, Christian’s experience spans from software development, professional services to consultancy and selling. With a Masters and PhD from the Technical University in Vienna and an MBA from the University of Economy in Vienna, his career started in developing software with universities such as MIT, Berley and TU Vienna. From here he moved to a principal consulting role, with the last 20 years spent in various management positions at companies including Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Compaq and Management Data.
Executive Vice President, Head of Global Operations and Client Services
Julian Trostinsky first joined SmartStream as a technical implementer in the late nineties and then took on responsibility of overseeing technical operations within professional services. In 2005, he moved to Citigroup and was responsible for successfully building one of the first TLM Reconciliations utilities.
After two years he rejoined SmartStream to manage the pre-sales and professional services operations for North America, before joining BNY Mellon in 2011 as Managing Director of Reconciliation Systems Services Group. During this time he was responsible for building the first and largest reconciliations utility for the bank.
In 2013 he returned to SmartStream to manage the Pre-Sales and Business Development organisation for the Americas region and was also responsible for establishing the Centre of Excellence (CoE) before his appointment as Head of Global Operations and Client Services.
